Key Responsibilities

• Support the Company's legal and regulatory compliance framework by monitoring obligations, maintaining compliance controls and records, coordinating compliance reviews, and promoting ethical and policy-compliant conduct across WAEP's upstream operations in line with applicable laws, regulations and Company controls.

• Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

• Maintain the corporate compliance register and track applicable statutory, regulatory, contractual and internal compliance obligations.

• Support implementation and periodic review of compliance policies, procedures, controls and monitoring plans.

• Conduct compliance reviews and assist in identifying gaps, exceptions and corrective actions.

• Track agreed compliance actions to closure and escalate overdue or material issues appropriately.

• Support due diligence and compliance screening of relevant third parties, vendors and counterparties.

• Maintain accurate compliance records, declarations, approvals, registers and audit trails.

• Support employee awareness programmes on ethics, conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, gifts and hospitality, and related compliance requirements.

• Assist with investigations and fact-finding exercises involving potential policy or compliance breaches while maintaining confidentiality.

• Monitor relevant regulatory developments and support communication of compliance implications to affected functions and internal stakeholders.

• Quality of compliance reviews and risk identification Effectiveness of compliance awareness activities

• Prepare periodic compliance reports and dashboards for Management and support regulatory or assurance reviews.

• Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8-12 years' relevant compliance, legal, audit, risk or governance experience, preferably within oil and gas or another regulated industry.
