First Star Public Health Services is a consultancy firm concerned with Environmental Sanitation, Pest & Vector Control, Occupational Health Safety & Audit, System Development & Management, Capacity Building & System, Strengthening for food safety & environmental Health Response, Environmental Hazard Prevention & Control, Environmental impact assessment, environmental auditing, Urban structure, hydraulics & environment, telecoms trading, sales and distribution of general goods & general contractors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Compliance Officer Location: Municipal, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of Environmental Health compliance measures and court orders issued against establishments that have failed to meet applicable requirements.
• Work alongside Nigeria Police personnel, Court Bailiffs, and licensed security personnel during authorized compliance operations.
• Visit assigned business premises and ensure compliance activities are conducted professionally and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Engage business owners, property managers, and relevant representatives professionally and communicate compliance requirements clearly.
• Document field activities, outcomes, and observations accurately.
• Prepare and submit daily compliance and operational reports.
• Meet assigned daily field targets and follow organizational policies and operational instructions.
• Represent the organization professionally during field engagements.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of an HND or Bachelor's Degree from a recognized institution.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable with extensive fieldwork, including visiting a minimum of 20 business premises daily.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Good reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Must own and be proficient in the use of a smartphone.
• Previous experience in compliance, enforcement, security operations, environmental health, customer relations, or field operations is an added advantage.
• Must reside within Abuja or its environs.

Salary

N150,000 monthly.
