About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join CFAO Holdings South Africa, based in Johannesburg. The role supports the Head of Compliance and the Division in maintaining an effective compliance framework across FICA, AML, 3rd party due diligence, whistleblowing, training, policy & procedure oversight, monitoring, and reporting, fostering a culture of ethics and integrity in CFAO's growing South African division.
What You'll Do
- Maintain all FICA controls including CDD, recordkeeping, reporting obligations, monitoring activities, remediation tracking and annual screenings for employees and clients; update RMCP and provide FICA training for exposed staff.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with FICA/AML requirements and related policy updates.
- Uphold standards under the Anti-corruption Code of Conduct and Code of Conduct & Ethics.
- Oversee 3rd party due diligence in line with CFAO Anticorruption Code of Conduct and Code of Conduct & Ethics.
- Administer the whistleblowing / Speak-up process; maintain the ethics incident register and enhance reporting templates.
- Support and coordinate local FICA training and Group-related training; track training statuses; deliver face-to-face training and maintain training records.
- Draft, review and update policies & procedures in alignment with CFAO Group requirements; disseminate policies and update intranet/SharePoint portals.
- Travel within South Africa for business/training as required.
What We're Looking For
- Matric; a relevant degree or diploma in compliance, legal, risk management, auditing or finance related field; prior experience in compliance, risk, legal or audit.
- Exposure to FICA/AML programmes, investigations, ethics, whistleblowing processes or compliance training is advantageous.
- Ability to travel within South Africa for business/training/other.
- Strong integrity and sound judgement; good knowledge of compliance principles and regulatory expectations in South Africa and familiarity with SAPIN II.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze information for reporting; interpretation and application of regulations to practical actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with stakeholders and deliver training.
- Confidence and ability to conduct training and facilitation at various levels; proactive mindset.
- Advanced level understanding and application of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Experience or exposure to CFAO Anticorruption Code of Conduct and Group compliance standards is advantageous.
