Compliance Licensing Analyst

The Compliance Pharmacy Licensing Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining business, pharmacy, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, wholesale, and other healthcare-related licenses, registrations, and permits across multiple jurisdictions. This role ensures ongoing compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements by coordinating licensing activities, monitoring regulatory changes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting audits and inspections.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in regulatory compliance within a healthcare, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, track, and renew pharmacy, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, and other healthcare-related licenses, permits, and registrations.

  • Maintain accurate licensing records, databases, and documentation. Monitor license expiration dates and ensure timely renewals.

  • Coordinate with state boards of pharmacy, regulatory agencies, and third-party licensing vendors.

  • Research licensing requirements for new jurisdictions, business locations, and services.

  • Assist in investigating and resolving licensing discrepancies or compliance issues.

  • Maintain licensing and compliance databases.

  • Prepare reports and metrics regarding licensing status, renewals, inspections, and compliance activities.

  • Analyze trends and identify potential compliance risks.

  • Ensure confidential information is maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

  • Partner with Legal, Operations, Human Resources, Credentialing, and Pharmacy leadership to support licensing and compliance initiatives.

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding licensing requirements.

  • Support onboarding activities requiring professional licensure verification.

Education

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. with five (5) years of compliance-related experience.
  • Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Regulatory Affairs, Public Health, or related field from an approved and accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare licensing, pharmacy compliance, regulatory affairs, credentialing, or a related compliance function.

  • Experience working with state licensing boards, regulatory agencies, or healthcare compliance systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory and licensing requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and regulatory guidance.

  • Excellent recordkeeping and document management practices.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism when interacting with regulators and internal stakeholders.

  • Physical/Mental Demands: This position is administrative in nature and will present physical demands requisite to a position requiring: hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

  • This is a remote position.
