Compliance Assurance Lead EMAP

Experian is seeking a Compliance Assurance Lead EMAP to deliver risk-based compliance assurance across the EMEA and APAC regions. This role combines hands-on assurance delivery with the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement of the Compliance Assurance function. You will lead and support compliance assurance reviews across a diverse business environment, collaborate with stakeholders to assess controls, test compliance risks, report findings clearly, and drive actions through to resolution. You will also help strengthen methodology, reporting quality, and manage GenAI-enabled tooling, contributing to how the function evolves in the region. You will report to the Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance reviews and regional delivery
• Plan and execute compliance assurance reviews aligned with the Global Compliance Management Programme and the EMAP annual Compliance Assurance Plan
• Define review scope, testing approach, and review programmes; build and perform testing of compliance controls
• Conduct fieldwork, reviews, and fact-finding meetings; maintain clear, accurate, high-quality working papers
• Convert findings into actionable recommendations; prepare reports detailing findings, risks, conclusions, and required actions
• Collaborate with business owners and management to agree practical action plans and mitigation steps
• Track agreed actions through to closure and report progress; escalate high-risk issues as needed
• Shape the broader assurance approach and support the Head of Compliance Assurance in developing risk monitoring and testing processes
• Contribute to the annual Compliance Assurance Plan and support other EMAP colleagues in compliance testing
• Maintain and evolve the EMAP Compliance Assurance methodology, reporting templates, and GenAI tooling to improve productivity and effectiveness
• Support governance and regional insight by maintaining records in Archer and tracking open issues; provide clear reporting on key indicators, deliverables, and review progress
• Maintain a broad understanding of the business and regulatory environment; provide insight on recurring risk themes to improve assurance effectiveness across the region

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in compliance monitoring, testing, assurance, audit, or a similar regulatory role
• Experience in a large, regulated environment
• Experience with EU privacy and data protection regulations
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Fluent English
• Professional audit qualification such as ACCA, CIA, or CISA
