About this role

Job title: Compliance Advisory Analyst

About Moneybox

At Moneybox, our mission is to give everyone the means to get more out of life. We're guided by our belief that wealth isn't about the money, it's about the means to more - more freedom, opportunities, possibilities, and peace of mind. Moneybox is an award-winning wealth management platform, helping over one and a half million people build wealth throughout their lives, whether they’re saving and investing, buying their first home, or planning for retirement.

Job Brief

We’re looking for a Compliance Advisory Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team and help provide effective second-line advice, oversight and constructive challenge across Moneybox. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Care and other teams, you’ll assess regulatory risks, support new propositions and changes, and help ensure good customer outcomes are embedded in decisions. You’ll own a varied portfolio of day-to-day advisory work, escalating complex or material matters appropriately, and help develop a proportionate, well-documented compliance advisory function. Given Moneybox's range of products, we would particularly welcome candidates with experience in pensions, retirement or investment products.

What you'll do

  • Working closely with colleagues across Risk & Compliance and the wider business, you will:

  • Provide clear, timely and practical second-line compliance advice on business queries, product changes, customer journeys and operational proposals, identifying regulatory risks and proportionate mitigations.

  • Review and challenge financial promotions and customer communications across channels, applying relevant FCA requirements and internal approval standards.

  • Support product governance and change approval processes, including reviewing fair value assessments, target market assessments, Consumer Duty considerations and associated governance papers.

  • Assess customer outcome risks, including foreseeable harm, customer understanding, support needs and the treatment of vulnerable customers, and challenge proposals where necessary.

  • Provide second-line input into sensitive or complex complaints and Financial Ombudsman Service matters, including regulatory interpretation, root-cause themes and potential wider customer impact.

  • Prepare concise written compliance considerations, risk assessments, recommendations and records of advice that evidence the rationale for decisions and escalation.

  • Build constructive relationships with Product, Marketing, Customer Care, Operations and other stakeholders, offering solutions-focused challenge while maintaining second-line independence.

  • Contribute to horizon scanning by assessing regulatory developments, explaining their potential business impact and supporting the tracking of actions and owners.

  • Support the effective operation of compliance governance forums, including preparing papers, recording challenges and following up on agreed actions.

  • Identify recurring advisory themes, emerging risks and opportunities to improve guidance, controls and ways of working; collaborate with Compliance Monitoring and other specialists where appropriate.

  • Provide second-line advisory support across Moneybox's savings, investment and retirement propositions, including relevant product changes, customer journeys and regulatory considerations.

  • Who you are

  • A curious, proactive and commercially aware compliance professional who enjoys solving problems in a fast-moving environment.

  • Comfortable making reasoned judgements, constructively challenging proposals and explaining the “why” behind regulatory requirements.

  • Able to work independently on routine matters, recognise the limits of your knowledge and escalate material or unfamiliar risks appropriately.

  • An effective communicator who can turn complex rules into accessible, actionable guidance for non-compliance colleagues.

  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, maintain clear records and follow work through to completion.

  • Collaborative and approachable, while confident maintaining appropriate second-line independence.

  • Experience and skills

  • Relevant experience in a compliance, regulatory advisory, risk or closely related role within a UK FCA-regulated financial services business.

  • Working knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework, including the Consumer Duty and principles relevant to customer communications, product governance and customer outcomes.

  • Experience assessing regulatory risks, reviewing business proposals or communications, and documenting practical advice or recommendations.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret requirements and apply them to real customer and business scenarios.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging with stakeholders outside Compliance.

  • An interest in savings, investments, pensions and digital financial services. Previous experience working with pensions, retirement or investment products, particularly in a regulatory or compliance capacity, would be highly desirable.

  • Experience with financial promotions, complaints, product governance or regulatory change is desirable, but expertise across every area is not expected.

  • A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one) is welcome but not essential; equivalent practical experience is valued.

  • What's in it for you

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing, award-winning and super ambitious company

  • Work with a friendly team of highly motivated individuals

  • Be in an environment where you are listened to and can actually have an impact

  • Thriving collaborative and inclusive company culture

  • Company pension scheme

  • Company bonus scheme

  • Home office furniture allowance

  • Personal Annual Learning and Development budget

  • Private Medical Insurance

  • Health Cash Plan - cashback on everyday healthcare like dental and opticians

  • Cycle to work scheme – spread the cost of a new bike and accessories

  • CycleSaver - save on bike-share subscriptions and have a more sustainable commute

  • Wellhub subscription to a variety of gyms and wellbeing apps

  • Enhanced parental pay & leave

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays with additional days added with length of service.

  • Hybrid work arrangement (2 days in London office, 3 days from home)
