Complex Bodily Injury Adjuster – Attorney Represented Claims (Remote – PST)
National General is seeking an experienced Complex Bodily Injury Adjuster – Attorney Represented Claims to manage a caseload of highly complex, attorney-represented bodily injury claims from initial notice of loss through final resolution. This role is responsible for handling claims on a full cradle-to-grave basis, including coverage analysis, liability investigation, damage evaluation, settlement negotiations, and claim disposition.
The ideal candidate is a skilled claims professional with experience investigating complex liability exposures, analyzing coverage issues, evaluating injury claims, and negotiating favorable settlements with attorneys and other involved parties. This position requires strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to independently manage claims involving significant exposure and litigation potential.
Successful candidates will have experience handling complex claims involving attorney representation, severe injury exposure, litigation, disputed liability, and coverage considerations while delivering timely, fair, and compliant claim resolutions. They will be comfortable navigating the unique challenges associated with non-standard auto claims and possess the expertise to effectively manage high-exposure claims from start to finish. This position is fully remote and requires the ability to work a Pacific Time Zone schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST).
Key Responsibilities

Handles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority.

Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.

Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.

Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.

Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.

For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.

As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Analyst III: $21.20 — $34.69/hr Adjuster Consultant I: $26.49 — $40.99/hr Adjuster Consultant II: $28.03 — $43.70/hr Adjuster Sr Consultant I: $35.82 — $50.24/hr
And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
