About this role

About the Role Deloitte’s Compensation and Benefits team in our Washington National Tax practice is seeking an experienced professional to join our tax practice. The role focuses on compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation, retirement plans, and health and welfare plans, as well as employment taxes and global mobility tax services. You will provide highly integrated, high-value guidance to Tax and HR professionals and client leadership to develop and manage plans that are meaningful and cost-effective and aligned with corporate objectives and employee satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-value, integrated guidance on compensation and benefits programs (executive compensation, retirement and health and welfare plans) and related employment taxes to Tax and HR professionals and client leadership.
  • Collaborate with Deloitte WNT professionals and other Deloitte functions to evaluate complex issues and manage risk for clients.
  • Help develop and manage compensation and benefits plans that meet corporate objectives and drive employee satisfaction.
  • Partner with clients to design meaningful, compliant programs and address global mobility tax services.
  • Be willing to travel approximately 10% as required and co-locate in-person 2-3 days per week in a hybrid model.

What We're Looking For

  • Hybrid work model: co-locate in person 2–3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of taxation experience in a law firm or 5+ years in taxation at a law firm, public accounting firm, or similar environment.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 10% on average.
  • Active accreditations: Licensed CPA in state of practice (if eligible to sit for CPA exam); or Licensed attorney; Enrolled Agent; CFA; CFP.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $156,975 – $261,625 per year (Washington, DC).
  • Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program, subject to rules governing the program.
