Job Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy by assisting customers, processing sales, organizing inventory, maintaining records, and ensuring the pharmacy environment remains clean and professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to customers and assist with product inquiries.
- Process sales transactions accurately.
- Receive, arrange, and stock pharmaceutical products and other inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Ensure shelves and displays are neat, organized, and properly labeled.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory movements.
- Support the pharmacist in administrative and operational tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Writing articles and participating in health outreach.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of drugs and prescriptions.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
