About the Role
We are seeking a Community Involvement Coordinator at The Children's Center Of Monmouth County to coordinate and facilitate community-based activities for adults with disabilities. The role focuses on building community partnerships, organizing trips, and ensuring meaningful engagement that supports growth and independence. What You'll Do
- Coordinate and schedule community outings and trips for participants.
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities, firehouses, parks, restaurants, and other community partners.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee group activities (e.g., bowling, dining, shopping) to promote social participation.
- Ensure safety, accessibility, and participant well-being during activities.
- Track participation, outcomes, and report findings to program leadership. What We're Looking For
- Experience coordinating community-based programs or activities, preferably with adults with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with partner organizations.
- Strong organizational and scheduling abilities with a focus on safety and accessibility.
- Compassionate, patient, and inclusive approach. Nice to Have
- Background in nonprofit or disability services; familiarity with local resources.
- Knowledge of Monmouth County or New Jersey community programs and transportation coordination.
