About the Role The Community Inclusion Support Worker role at Northview Community Church provides direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them participate in community-based activities and inclusive programs in Abbotsford, BC. The position aims to promote independence, safety, and meaningful engagement within supported living or group settings.
What You'll Do
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily routines and community activities
- Encourage participation in church/community programs and social events
- Assist with transportation, scheduling, and meal planning as needed
- Collaborate with care teams, family members, and supervisory staff to implement individual support plans
- Monitor safety and well-being, record progress notes and incidents as required

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow individual support plans and adapt to changing needs
- Prior relevant experience in community inclusion, care work, or developmental disabilities (preferred)
