About this role
Community Friendship Visits – Celebrating Russian Language & Culture
A Social Visits Volunteer Who Can Make a Meaningful Difference – One Visit at a Time
We’re looking for a kind hearted volunteer to visit an elderly lady who’s been feeling a little lonely. She would love a friendly visitor who can speak a little Russian with her, helping her reconnect with her language, culture, and treasured memories.
Your time and company can make a world of difference — a relaxed conversation, a shared story, or a cuppa together can truly lift her spirits and brighten her week.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
