Job title: Community Developer

About the Role We are seeking a Community Developer in Montreal to establish and grow Ubisoft’s player communities. You will lead the global community strategy for a brand and partner with cross-functional teams to drive player engagement, feedback cycles, and high-quality game experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute community strategic plans aligned with Production objectives and marketing strategy.
  • Develop and grow existing communities in line with business objectives; coordinate messaging across global departments.
  • Leverage Community Managers and partner resources to create meaningful content (blogs, podcasts, interviews, infographics, and more).
  • Act as spokesperson for the assigned brand; coordinate community-centric events (fan studio visits, developer dialogues, tournaments).
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to define and report on content KPIs demonstrating success and ROI.
  • Support betas and launches to meet KPIs and advocate for player experience.
  • Represent players’ needs within Production and Publishing to influence development and communications positioning.
  • Shape player feedback cycles and provide insights to Production and Publishing to influence game experiences and messaging.
  • Coordinate with live teams for post-launch communication; set expectations around patch content, status, and delivery.
  • Produce internal reports on community feedback, activity, and expectations.
  • Travel internationally may be required.
  • Work on cross-functional projects with Community Managers, Marketing, Production, and Video Editor teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Intermediate experience managing online communities and developing strategic plans or programs with demonstrable success in a professional setting.
  • Extensive experience in the gaming industry, with multiple gaming platforms a strong plus.
  • Experience in social media marketing or digital asset creation (video, photo, podcasts, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge or strong interest in March of Giants.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, etc.).
  • Experience in a demanding Production environment with multiple deadlines, metrics for success, and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of building and maintaining the growth of video game communities and developing and executing strategic player engagement plans.
  • Proven track record of working with various stakeholders to filter and implement player feedback.
  • AAA live-title experience is a strong plus.
