Higher Wages Lower Rent Alliance
Based in Riverside County, CA, the Higher Wages Lower Rent Alliance seeks to increase the participation of working people in our political process. We support grassroots politics in districts where working people live, and support policy campaigns to get working people involved in local issues that have immediate impacts on their lives. We do this with the hope of improving their connection to and participation in all levels of the political process over time.
Higher Wages Lower Rent Alliance is hiring Community Canvassers to join a progressive campaign in California’s 48th Congressional District for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
This position involves door-to-door canvassing, speaking directly with voters, persuasion, and mobilizing community members in support of progressive candidates and increased voter participation.
Qualifications
The Community Canvasser position is entry-level. No prior canvassing experience is required. Successful applicants should be:

Terms of Employment

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Gas Stipend: $25.00

Part-time options available with a minimum of 3 shifts per week

Saturday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Sunday – Wednesday: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
