About the Role The Oberlin Community Based Work Study Program hires Oberlin College students with Federal Work Study Awards to work with community organizations in Oberlin. The program partners with more than 16 organizations serving needs across food security, the arts, education, history, city government, and sustainability. Roles and responsibilities vary by organization and placement.
What You'll Do
- Select and apply to one of the listed partner organizations (e.g., America Counts, Kendal at Oberlin, NOYO, Oberlin Heritage Center, City Fresh, and more) and perform duties aligned with that organization’s mission.
- Work part-time hours under Federal Work Study funding; compensation is hourly and varies by organization.
- Collaborate with community partners to support programs and services for the Oberlin community.
What We're Looking For
- Oberlin College student on-campus with a Federal Work Study Award.
- Must have a Federal Work Study Award to participate in the program.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $12-14 per hour, varies by organization.
