Skills and Competencies
- 1-4 years' experience in communications, public relations (ideally within an agency environment) and/or journalism; background in technology or financial services preferred
- Exceptional writing skills and a creative mindset, with the ability to translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, credible and compelling narratives for internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute communications strategies that respond to immediate opportunities and support longer-term objectives
- Experience adapting communications for different audiences, channels and business needs
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to advise and influence business partners
- Detail-oriented and calm under pressure, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Self-motivated and accountable, with sound judgement to progress work independently and escalate issues appropriately
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
- An undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, business, economics or a related discipline is useful but not essential where the candidate has relevant professional experience
Responsibilities

This global role supports Moody's Analytics' internal and external communications, promoting its products, thought leadership and executive visibility.

Plan and execute communications initiatives that promote Moody's Analytics' products, thought leadership and business priorities to employees, the media and other key stakeholders

Develop key messages, Q&As, employee communications, executive content and media materials, including spokesperson preparation

Build relationships with journalists, proactively pitch relevant Moody's Analytics research, commentary and story ideas—particularly to US-based media—and respond effectively to media inquiries

Monitor, analyze and report on resulting media coverage, using insights to inform future communications activity

Partner with Moody's Analytics product, marketing, and business teams to identify communications opportunities and translate business priorities into compelling narratives

Collaborate with internal, executive, and external communications colleagues to ensure Moody's Analytics messaging is coordinated, consistent, and aligned with Moody's broader voice and reputation

Use Copilot and other AI tools to improve communications processes and support campaign planning, content development and delivery, applying appropriate review and responsible-use practices

About the Team

The Moody's Analytics Communications Team sits within Moody's Corporate Affairs department, which shapes and protects Moody's global reputation and voice across enterprise communications, brand, business communications, media relations and executive visibility. As part of its work, the team uses AI-enabled tools to support research, content development, workflow efficiency and communications insights while maintaining strong editorial judgement and brand alignment. By joining our team, you will help build understanding of Moody's Analytics products, thought leadership and business priorities among employees and external stakeholders, while raising the visibility of its executives.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $71,700.00 - $103,950.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
