A Snapshot of Your Day
You start the day by turning business priorities, achievements and developments across our Substation business in Europe & Africa into clear and engaging communication. You connect with leaders, teams and experts to identify relevant stories, shape the right messages and select the most effective channels for internal and external audiences.
You will own and continuously develop the regional communications approach across leadership communication, employee engagement, business updates, campaigns, events and external storytelling, including social media channels such as LinkedIn.
If you enjoy translating complex topics into compelling messages, building strong stakeholder networks and strengthening the visibility of an international business, this role offers the opportunity to shape how our organization communicates and is perceived.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement an integrated communications plan for Substations Europe & Africa, aligned with business priorities, leadership messages and the wider Siemens Energy communications framework.
- Create high-quality content for internal and external channels, including leadership messages, articles, presentations, newsletters, intranet stories, campaign materials, videos and LinkedIn posts.
- Act as the central communications interface for regional management, subregions, functions and project teams; proactively identify relevant topics, advise stakeholders and coordinate content from initial idea through approval and publication.
- Strengthen employee engagement and leadership visibility through town halls, management updates, change communication, campaigns and other formats that create transparency and connect colleagues across countries and functions.
- Build the external profile of the business by developing credible stories around customers, projects, technology, people and impact, with a particular focus on LinkedIn and other relevant corporate channels.
- Ensure consistent messaging, tone of voice and visual identity across all communication, while coordinating necessary reviews with communications, legal, compliance and other relevant stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Experience in corporate communications, internal communications, external communications, marketing, journalism or a comparable role, ideally in an international industrial or technology environment.
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business and technical topics into concise, audience-focused communication.
- Strong understanding of internal and external communication channels, including professional social media, with hands-on experience in content planning and publication.
- A proactive and creative mindset combined with sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to manage several topics, deadlines and approval processes in parallel.
- Confidence in advising senior stakeholders and working across functions, cultures and organizational levels, with the diplomacy to challenge constructively and build alignment.
- Experience with digital communication, content management, social media analytics, visual storytelling or basic video and image editing tools is an advantage. Business-fluent English with excellent written communication skills; further European languages are an advantage.
