Tabler Student Farm is Shepherd University’s “hidden gem” — this 160 acre historic farm that is a part of campus that many students don’t yet know about. A successful Communications and Social Media Intern will raise awareness of Tabler Student Farm amongst the student population primarily through a social media campaign that engages both students and the local community. The Intern will highlight the various programs and promote events, growing our online presence to give people a better understanding of our work and invite them to engage with us online and in person.

Applicants do not need to have experience with farming but should be comfortable working outdoors. Ideal candidates have some experience with social media, especially Instagram and Facebook, as well as reliable transportation and a creative eye. Evening and weekend work is sometimes required in order to capture certain events like workshops or farmer’s markets
