About this role

About the Role As a Communications Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality multichannel communications products and implementing stakeholder and community engagement activities to support major construction projects. This position is based in Quebec City for the Quebec Tramway project – Preparatory works. You are a proactive, versatile communications professional who can manage a wide range of projects and initiatives and excel at translating technical information into engaging, accessible content. What You'll Do

  • Create timely, informative, and engaging content to raise awareness and support construction projects.
  • Strengthen trust, understanding and credibility among key stakeholders, residents, community groups and the public by supporting integrated, proactive communications and community mobilization and stakeholder relations initiatives.
  • Measure quality, performance and outcomes of strategic communication objectives by developing, implementing and disseminating metrics and reports; track and report progress to internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain a database of public communications/contacts/requests to log inquiries, actions and outcomes.
  • Use multimedia and digital content techniques to support project information and related materials, including brochures, fact sheets, handouts, documents, and presentations.
  • Write and publish articles to support project, district, company and employee communications initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to build a high-performing integrated communications and stakeholder mobilization team. What We're Looking For
  • Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, political science, public administration or related fields.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in communications, customer service or community engagement in public or private sector, or a combination of education, training and experience considered equivalent.
  • Experience in project management to lead, manage and track multiple projects concurrently within tight deadlines, and monitor project performance.
  • Interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills, political acumen, initiative, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to establish constructive and effective relationships and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to build consensus or influence decisions.
  • Ability to work in high-intensity, demanding situations, with a track record of meeting deadlines and project expectations, with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written/presentation/listening) to develop and implement communication plans and materials and address community and stakeholder concerns.
  • Strong ethics with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is an asset.
  • Modern communications techniques, multimedia and software applications (e.g., desktop publishing, word processing, website creation).
  • Bilingual in French (oral and written). Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (asset).
