Job title: Communication Studies and Digital Media Communication - Adjunct
About the Role The Communications Arts Department at California Baptist University is seeking qualified individuals to join its Digital Media Communication and Communication Studies adjunct pool. Positions are part-time and contingent, with openings created periodically to meet department teaching needs, and may involve teaching courses such as Oral Communication, Strategic Communication and Global Engagement, Interpersonal Communication, and Social Media Strategies, among others.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned digital media communication or communication studies courses, and potentially develop or update course content to align with department needs.
- Provide instruction, assessment, and feedback to students; help manage classroom dynamics and motivate learning.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to fulfill adjunct pool needs and ensure alignment with program goals.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in an appropriate field or a bachelor’s degree with significant related professional experience.
- Thorough knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field; ability to apply this knowledge to teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to support, instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students.
- Higher Education teaching experience preferred; willingness to contribute to a faith-integrated learning environment.
- Commitment to the mission of California Baptist University and to excellence in teaching through the integration of Christian faith and learning.
Nice to Have
- Higher education teaching experience (preferred).
