Job title: Communication Adjunct Faculty
About the Role The English and Communication Department at UC Blue Ash invites applications for a Communication Adjunct faculty general pool to teach first- and second-year communication courses. Part-time instructors may be selected for upcoming terms as needed; classes may be offered day or evening. Appointments are based on department needs and teaching performance, with compensation determined by experience and credentials.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned undergraduate courses in communication (e.g., public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication).
- Use Canvas as the course management system and engage with students via regular office hours and timely communications.
- Hold regular office hours and respond to student inquiries.
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year and contribute to program assessment.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Masters degree (or higher) in Communication.
- At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting.
- Experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication preferred.
- Ph.D. or ABD in Communication preferred.
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

- Additional qualifications considered: experience teaching related communication areas beyond the core courses; demonstrated commitment to student success.
