Job title: Commissioning Superintendent
About the Role Technimont is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent to support the Commissioning Manager on Project Hail & Ghasha in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive planning, execution, documentation, and handover of facilities, ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. Depending on project complexity, you may manage a single area or the entire pre-commissioning/commissioning process, and may support the Operation Manager if required.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with supervisors to establish detailed procedures; outline daily tasks and create a step-by-step plan based on priorities; allocate assignments to supervisors and assistants.
- Ensure adherence to procedures and timelines for all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities; maintain quality standards and safety; coordinate with Commissioning discipline Superintendents (Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical).
- Check the Test Pack to confirm punch points, reinstatement points, and blind list; contribute to plan to optimize schedule; engage with Client Project Team, PM, Subcontractors, Vendors; mobilize vendors specialists; oversee on-site activities; support QA in handover documentation; coordinate with QA on dossier preparation; attend PSSR; develop relationship with Client to enable seamless handover; act as authorized Permit to Work recipient/issuer.
What We're Looking For
- University degree or diploma in relevant discipline; significant experience in industrial construction of large or xl gas plants; at least 15 years of overall experience; last 5 years as Commissioning Coordinator/Lead/Superintendent in multidisciplinary function; experience on contractor side; experience with Power Plant Projects preferred.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; management skills; team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to drive timely performance and problem resolution.
