Commissioning Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer for an onshore project (Juaymah Plant) based in Ras Tanura, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. You will support the preparation and execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test runs, training and operation activities, interfacing with engineering disciplines, licensors, vendors and subcontractors to ensure a safe, cost-effective operation aligned with HSE standards. What You'll Do

• Perform technical tasks assigned by Project Commissioning and Operation Lead related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, test run, training and operation activities.
• Interface with engineering disciplines, licensors, vendors and subcontractors.
• Execute design activities relevant to QA/QC Certification, Fire Fighting System response and control, HSE system control, Integrated Control System development, Production Strategies development, Spare Parts Reliability and Maintainability Criteria, and other production-related activities for safe operation.
• Provide engineering support when required.
• Maintain continuous review of the Production Facilities operations.
• Ensure that all activities under your responsibility are done in full compliance with HSE requirements.
• Provide support during Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR) meetings, HSE meetings, etc.
• Perform frequent safety and quality observations in the field and report findings.
• Provide support during the preparation of progress reports and during the execution of the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Start-up activities.
• Identify solutions to technical problems encountered during operations, including related HSE issues; coordinate root cause analysis investigations and prepare relevant reports for operational issues affecting HSE, system availability and production.
• Develop knowledge transfer and relevant solutions (e.g., feedback on solutions to implement similar approaches on other facilities).
• Throughout the life of Production Facilities, provide a technical overview of production activities and recommend solutions for improvement. What We're Looking For
• Experience in commissioning and start-up of industrial facilities, preferably in energy/oil & gas.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements, PSSR, QA/QC, Fire Fighting Systems and Integrated Control Systems.
• Ability to interface with engineering disciplines, licensors, vendors and subcontractors; strong communication and teamwork.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Saudi Arabia and travel as needed.
