About this role

About the Role Join M.C. Dean as a Commissioning Engineer on our Building Intelligence team. You will perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and manufacturing environments, ensuring safe and reliable operation of mission-critical systems. Travel to customer sites may be required. What You'll Do

  • Assist more experienced Commissioning specialist coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables
  • Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets
  • Perform simple routine electrical calculations
  • Assist in review of supplier documentation for compliance with specifications
  • Use the electrical engineering website to access department guides and standards
  • Basic knowledge of commissioning, inspection and testing of electrical components and systems
  • Proficient with technical writing
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering theories
  • Basic power system familiarity with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, power panels, protection relays, UPS systems, power monitoring systems, test equipment, etc.
  • Good communications skills
  • Willing to travel to customer sites periodically What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience
  • Exposure to computer screens for extended periods
  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects
  • Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Apply general rules to specific problems
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person
  • Proficiency with technical writing
