About the Role The Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security at CEDEAO will lead efforts to establish networks of cooperation and mobilize resources from the African Union and development partners. He/She will coordinate and enable project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting on external financing, and support governance bodies of CEDEAO's Peace Fund. What You'll Do
- Mobilize resources: establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Member States, bilateral and multilateral partners), secure contributions, prepare funding proposals, conduct negotiations, and ensure commitments including the 5% Community Tax contribution are fulfilled.
- Manage funds: oversee reception, processing and reporting of contributions to CEDEAO's Peace Fund.
- Coordinate project delivery: coordinate and enable the unfolding of projects, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting on external financing, and support governance bodies of the Peace Fund.
- Liaise with the African Union and development partners to mobilize resources and foster cooperation. What We're Looking For
- Experience in leading resource mobilization and partnership development within an intergovernmental or multinational setting.
- Ability to establish and manage relationships with Member States, bilateral and multilateral partners, and other internal/external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capacity to oversee project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on external financing, and to support governance structures.
- Strong negotiation, financial oversight, and policy coordination skills. Compensation & Benefits
