Job Description Assist in the preparation and cooking of Mediterranean and international dishes according to recipes and standards. Prepare mise en place, ingredients, sauces, marinades, salads, and other food items as assigned. Support the Chef de Partie and other kitchen team members during daily operations and service. Ensure all food is prepared with consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation in the assigned work area. Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures at all times. Properly store and label food items, ensuring correct temperature control and FIFO practices. Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently. Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies when required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Support buffet, à la carte, and special event preparations as required. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and other departments. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and grooming standards. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant kitchen is preferred.

Culinary certificate or relevant culinary training is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of Mediterranean and international cuisine.

Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Physically fit and able to work for extended periods in a kitchen environment.
