Commercial Manager - Global Marine
Description
- Commercial Manager for Gobel Marine to oversee the commercial operations of Gobel Ship and manage vessel chartering activities across the Group, ensuring optimal utilization and revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of Gobel Ship operations.
- Drive business development and revenue growth for the marine business.
- Manage vessel chartering activities across the Group.
- Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts and agreements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and provide strategic commercial insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial shipping, vessel chartering, or marine operations.
- Strong knowledge of chartering practices, freight markets, and maritime regulations.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and commercial deal structuring.
- Strong business development and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and market assessment abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple vessel operations and commercial portfolios.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant shipping/commercial management tools.
- Professional certification in shipping/maritime (e.g., ICS, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) is an added advantage.
