Commercial Litigation Attorney

We are looking for an experienced commercial litigation attorney to join a collaborative legal team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position is suited for a lawyer with at least five years of practice handling disputes from initial case assessment through resolution, with the judgment and professionalism to manage a varied caseload. The role offers exposure to matters involving business conflicts, property-related disputes, tort claims, and contract issues, with an emphasis on strong advocacy, clear communication, and outstanding client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial litigation matters through each stage of the case lifecycle, from early strategy and pleadings to settlement discussions, trial preparation, and final resolution.

• Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, and other court filings that reflect strong legal analysis, attention to detail, and effective written advocacy.

• Oversee discovery by drafting requests and responses, reviewing produced materials, and coordinating fact development to support case strategy.

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, conferences, and other litigation proceedings while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

• Advise clients on risk, case posture, and recommended legal strategies in a clear and practical manner throughout active matters.

• Manage a diverse docket that may include contract disputes, real estate conflicts, tort claims, and broader business litigation issues.

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move matters forward efficiently while contributing to a team-oriented practice environment.

• Support matters involving bankruptcy-related issues when applicable and integrate those considerations into overall litigation strategy.

• Active license to practice law and good standing with the Arizona state bar.

• At least 5 years of experience handling commercial litigation matters across multiple phases of litigation.

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents with precision and clarity.

• Hands-on experience managing discovery, including written discovery, document review, and case fact development.

• Strong verbal communication and client-facing skills with a consistent commitment to responsive service.

• Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to handle multiple active matters effectively.

• Experience from a judicial clerkship is preferred, particularly with a federal court or state appellate court.
