Commercial Litigation Associate/Counsel

Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate or Counsel to join our Ft. Lauderdale office and support a growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated business litigation, hands-on case management, and working within a collaborative, entrepreneurial platform.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial

• litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings,

• motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents

• Manage discovery and

• take/defend depositions

• Appear in court for

• hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences

• Assist with trial

• preparation and overall litigation strategy

• Work closely with

• partners and clients on sophisticated business disputes

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of

• commercial litigation experience focus on financial services, real estate, and

• creditors' rights matters a plus

• Strong experience

• with motions practice, court appearances, and depositions

• Trial and/or

• arbitration experience preferred

• Barred in Florida

• Strong writing,

• analytical, and organizational skills
