Commercial Drywall Hangers, Framers, Finishers & Helpers

K&R Staffing HR Consulting is currently seeking experienced Commercial Drywall Hangers, Metal Stud Framers, Drywall Finishers, and Construction Helpers for opportunities with Foster and Company.

These positions involve working on commercial construction projects, including projects located on military installations throughout Northwest Florida.

We are looking for dependable, skilled, and hardworking individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship, work safely, and can perform efficiently in a commercial construction environment.

Positions Available

1. Commercial Drywall Hangers

• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall panels according to project specifications.

• Secure drywall to metal stud framing, walls, and ceiling structures.

• Read measurements, layouts, and basic construction plans.

• Use appropriate hand and power tools to complete installations.

• Ensure drywall is installed properly, securely, and efficiently.

• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines.

2. Metal Stud Framers

• Measure, lay out, cut, and assemble metal stud framing systems.

• Install metal tracks, studs, and structural components for commercial walls and partitions.

• Interpret construction drawings, measurements, and layout instructions.

• Ensure framing is level, plumb, and aligned with project specifications.

• Safely operate framing tools and equipment.

• Coordinate with drywall crews and other construction trades.

3. Commercial Drywall Finishers

• Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall seams and joints.

• Prepare and finish inside and outside corners.

• Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to achieve the required finish.

• Repair surface imperfections and prepare walls for painting.

• Maintain consistent quality and workmanship throughout the finishing process.

• Complete finishing work according to commercial project requirements.

4. Construction Helpers

• Assist drywall hangers, framers, and finishers with daily job duties.

• Carry, organize, and distribute construction materials and tools.

• Assist with measuring, cutting, installation, and preparation work.

• Set up and clean work areas.

• Load and unload materials and supplies.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople.

• Support crews in completing projects safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial drywall, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, acoustical ceiling installation, or related construction work.

• Must have the tools necessary to perform the assigned trade.

• Must be able to pass all required background screenings and satisfy security clearance procedures necessary to obtain installation access passes.

• Must be eligible to access military bases

• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and workplace safety.

• Ability to accurately measure, cut, install, and handle construction materials.

• Ability to use hand tools safely, power tools, and applicable construction equipment.

• Ability to perform physical construction work, including standing, bending, lifting, carrying materials, and working on ladders or elevated surfaces when required.

• Dependable transportation to assigned job sites.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to follow directions and maintain job-site safety standards.

Important: Military Base Access Requirements

These positions may require access to restricted military installations. All selected candidates must successfully meet the applicable background screening and installation access requirements before beginning work at those locations.

Eligibility for base access is determined by the applicable installation authorities. Previous military base construction experience is a plus but is not required.
