About the Role Lead the Combustion Aerodynamics group at Siemens Energy in the UK, defining technical requirements for combustion aerodynamics tasks and balancing resources to ensure efficient delivery. You’ll provide technical oversight and first‑line approval for work within the group, collaborating with project managers, design teams, combustion experts, and academic partners to drive innovation and product capabilities. What You'll Do
- Scope technical requirements for combustion aerodynamics tasks and optimize resource allocation.
- Provide technical oversight and first-line approval for all work within the group, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Manage combustion support across production testing, manufacturing, field service, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure on-time delivery of tasks while liaising with project managers to meet project goals.
- Advise product owners on escalated sales topics and identify opportunities for product capabilities and enhancements. What We're Looking For
- A Beng/BSc (or equivalent) in engineering or related field; Master’s degree or PhD desirable.
- Working knowledge of design and development processes, particularly in gas turbine product structure, design, and specifications.
- In-depth knowledge in at least one of: combustion systems, fuels and emissions, rig or engine testing, or CFD.
- Previous experience in managing projects and teams, demonstrating leadership.
- Actively working towards or have achieved CEng status. Nice to Have
