Job title: Colony Feed Sales Representative
About the Role Join our purpose-driven team as a Colony Feed Sales Representative focused on Alberta. Reporting to the Colony Sales Manager, West Region, you will drive sales growth by partnering with Colony customers, with a focus on poultry and swine, through farm visits and data analysis to identify needs and promote feed solutions. This role requires achieving regional targets and collaborating with Customer Service and Feed Mill teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow Colony sales across Alberta, in collaboration with the Colony Sales Manager, West Region.
- Build trusted relationships with Colony customers through farm visits, needs assessment, and data analysis.
- Promote feed solutions and technologies, explaining benefits and value to customers.
- Achieve regional sales targets and implement business development strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust tactics.
- Ensure excellent customer service by coordinating with Customer Service and Feed Mill teams.
- Maintain accurate reporting and data records; travel as required with a valid driver’s license.
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary degree in Agriculture, Business, or Economics (or equivalent experience).
- Previous sales experience, preferably in working with Colonies.
- Strong relationship-building and prospecting skills.
- Ability to analyze agricultural data and identify customer needs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales targets.
- Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Passion for agriculture and delivering value to customers.
