Job description

Atyenhenge Atherre Aboriginal Corporation has been successful in obtaining the Aboriginal Investment NT (AINT) Collective Impact Initiative Grant. The grant is an Aboriginal community led partnership with AINT designed to deliver multiple, large scale projects in the community. An MoU was signed in August 2026 for twelve months, being the first phase of the funding. The first phase is a twelve month collaboration to finalise the community infrastructure plan – enabling the program to work on architectural plans and costings of the proposed community ideas. This will enable the community to create a long term strategic infrastructure plan.

A significant part of the Collective Impact Initiative will be to finalise a business plan for Community Managed Housing. The community has long voiced its desire to manage their own housing since 2006 when the intervention took away many jobs carried out by local people around housing maintenance. AAAC’s 2023 Strategic Plan and Local Decision Making Agreement 2024-prioritise management of housing as a goal for the community. Both Aboriginal Housing NT and Community Housing Central Australia have expressed interest in working with the Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) Community to establish a community managed housing program.

Key Functions

• Oversee the set-up, piloting and delivery of Ltyentye Apurte Collective Impact Initiative in Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa)
• Establish a sub-committee of the AAAC Board to assist with the delivery of the Program
• Recruit a local facilitator to assist with the delivery of Ltyentye Apurte Collective Impact Initiative in the community.
• Build and maintain important relationships in Ltyentye Apurte, with community members, local employers, AAAC Board, AINT, and other stakeholders
• Responsible for program management, program governance, and ensuring compliance with relevant funding agreements.
