Collections Specialist
An organization in Downtown Pittsburgh is in need of temporary to hire assistance in the Collections Department!
The position is 100% onsite and located in the East of Pittsburgh.
The Collections Specialist would be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts, ranging from several hundred to 500+ accounts.
- Conduct collection activities through phone calls and email correspondence.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and work with customers to resolve payment issues.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collection of receivables.
- Review and monitor aging reports to identify past-due accounts and collection priorities.
- Document collection efforts and account activity accurately within company systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
Previous collections experience preferred.
- Experience managing a large volume of accounts in an accounts receivable or collections environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Business-to-business (B2B) collections experience.
- Experience reviewing and working aging reports.
