COBOL Developer

We're hiring a COBOL Developer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 6 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience
• Experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and SQL
• Familiarity with DB2 and Java is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application systems
• Conduct systems testing and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Participate in on-call rotation after 3 months

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in a related field

Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and SQL, along with a strong background in application development and systems testing. They should be able to collaborate effectively with team members and participate in an on-call rotation. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates familiar with DB2 and Java.

• The hourly rate for this position is $57.35
