About the Role ALS Coal Technology is seeking a Coal Quality Tester to join the Riverview team. This entry-level role supports coal quality assessment and aims to develop skills with potential for long-term employment.
What You'll Do
- Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples.
- Load/unload material from ovens operating at high temperatures.
- Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing).
- Record and transfer validated test results into systems.
- General site duties and safety incident reporting.
What We're Looking For
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Solid numeracy, literacy, and basic computer skills.
- Physically fit; capable of repetitive manual handling in a dusty and hot environment.
- Willingness to learn, wear protective equipment, and meet production deadlines.
