About this role
St. Andrew’s School is looking to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill future coaching opportunities beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year.
St. Andrew’s offers 19 varsity programs across three seasons, supported by a 2,200 acre campus with professional-grade facilities. The campus is divided into specialized zones for indoor and outdoor competition.
The objectives of teachers and coaches at St. Andrew’s are identical: reinforcing the idea that lessons on the field - resilience, leadership, and integrity - are as vital in the classroom. Coaches are teachers who deal with physical fitness as well as the fundamentals and strategies of sport. We must offer our student athletes, who vary in their interest and ability, quality programs that appropriately challenge them to stretch their outer limits of endurance, self-discipline, loyalty, self-confidence, leadership, cooperation, and winning and losing graciously. Coaches are expected to uphold high standards and teach the valuable lessons that can be learned from athletic competition.
St. Andrew’s School is a coeducational, Episcopal, all-boarding school located on 2,200 acres in Middletown, Delaware. We are one of only three co-ed college prep high schools in the United States where all students board. All our students live, learn, and play in the natural beauty of our campus. At the center of our community are curious, motivated, and diverse students who are accepted without regard to their families’ means. Each young person is challenged and valued, and students are truly known by the life-long mentors who teach, coach, and advise them. Human connection, face to face, is the foundation of our program. Friendship and joy define our spirit; “faith and learning” is our motto.
