About the Role L-H Battery Company is offering Summer/Fall 2026 Co-op/Internship sessions. This role provides hands-on opportunities to work with Senior Engineers on mechanical infrastructure and fabrication projects within our Jeffersonville, OH facility. The program will accept both single- and multi-semester co-ops and internships; college students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest. What You'll Do
- Update and document Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings of existing infrastructure.
- Support or work under the direction of Senior Engineers; participate in: analyzing and designing sanitation, HVAC, and building pressure systems; developing short- and long-term solutions; designing modifications to existing facilities infrastructures.
- Update mechanical engineering specifications and standards; review mechanical drawings; learn and understand plant mechanical infrastructure; verify mechanical construction; trouble-shoot reports.
- Support SRP/CESS/Hot Oil Boiler and Environmental Equipment; assist with safety-related items and construction projects and verification; perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- General Engineering Coursework; enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program studying Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; Sophomore (by credit hour) or above; availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis); ability to provide own transportation.
- AutoCAD, CATIA, Microsoft Office; Manufacturing-related coursework desired. Nice to Have
