Backed by world-class investors, we are on track to be one of the few cash flow positive, tech-enabled unicorns based out of Singapore.
Requirements
- Reporting directly to the Country Head of Sleek Singapore, the Co-Head of Corporate Secretarial co-leads our Singapore corporate secretary business line. You will drive operational excellence across a high-volume client portfolio, lead a team of corporate secretary managers and executives, and modernize delivery workflows in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Mission
We are looking for a Co-Head of Corporate Secretarial to help quickly grow our business in Singapore. You will have a passion for understanding business owners, and an ability to be proactive in taking the extra mile in providing World Class customer service and professional accounting advice to our clients. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and work with business across multiple industries.
Position Duties
Role and Accountability
- Reporting line. You will report to the Country Head of Sleek Singapore and be part of the Singapore management team. You will co-lead the Corporate Secretarial function with your fellow Co-Head and be jointly accountable for its statutory compliance, quality, delivery and commercial performance across a portfolio of thousands of companies.
- Regulatory appointments. You must be willing and eligible to be appointed as a Registered Qualified Individual (RQI) for Sleek’s registration as a corporate service provider with ACRA, and as named company secretary for Sleek and/or its clients, and to personally own the regulatory accountability these appointments carry.
Statutory Compliance and Governance
- Compliance ownership. Own end-to-end compliance of the function with the Companies Act 1967, the Corporate Service Providers Act 2024 and related subsidiary legislation, ACRA filing requirements, AML/CFT obligations (including customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring and escalation of suspicious transactions), registrable controller and nominee disclosure requirements, and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
- Control framework. Design, maintain and enforce a robust control framework for Corporate Secretarial work, including maker-checker reviews, pre-submission filing checks, exception logs and periodic quality sampling, so that every ACRA lodgement is accurate, properly authorised and attributed to the correct entity.
- Statutory deadlines. Ensure all statutory deadlines across the portfolio, including AGMs, annual returns and event-driven filings, are tracked and met, with early-warning reporting on at-risk entities and zero tolerance for preventable late filings, penalties or erroneous lodgements.
- Regulatory engagement and incidents. Act as the point of escalation for queries and notices from ACRA and other authorities. Lead root-cause analysis, remediation and preventive action for any compliance incident, and report incidents promptly and transparently to the Country Head.
- Regulatory horizon-scanning. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and translate them, within agreed timeframes, into updated SOPs, templates, system rules and team training. Partner with the Compliance team on AML/CFT risk assessments and reviews of high-risk clients.
AI-Enabled Operations and Workflow Transformation
- Champion AI adoption. Actively drive the adoption of AI and automation across Corporate Secretarial operations, such as document drafting, data extraction, filing preparation and client query triage, and redesign workflows around these capabilities rather than layering new tools onto legacy processes.
- Business owner for technology. Work alongside Product and Technology as the subject-matter expert and business owner for Corporate Secretarial systems: articulate clear requirements, define the compliance rules and acceptance criteria that systems must satisfy, participate in user acceptance testing, and sign off before go-live.
- Human-in-the-loop controls. Define which AI-generated or automated outputs require professional review, set accuracy thresholds, monitor outputs for errors and drift, and pause or roll back any workflow that compromises statutory accuracy. Speed and efficiency gains must never come at the expense of compliance.
- Data-driven management. Use dashboards and operational data (throughput, turnaround time, error rates, deadline risk and capacity) to run the function, reallocate work and target improvements.
- Lead by example. Use AI tools hands-on in your own daily work, role-model curiosity and experimentation, and share what works and what does not openly with the team and wider business.
Leadership, Talent and Capability
- Team leadership. Lead, coach and manage a team of Corporate Secretarial managers and executives handling a high-volume portfolio, setting clear goals, expectations and accountability.
- Learning culture. Build a culture where unlearning and relearning are normal. Implement structured training plans that cover both regulatory updates and new AI-enabled ways of working, close knowledge gaps, and develop team members into confident reviewers, exception handlers and process improvers.
- Hiring and workforce planning. Hire for both technical competence and adaptability, and plan the shape and size of the team as automation changes the mix of skills and capacity required.
- Leading through change. Guide the team through ongoing transformation: explain the why behind changes, address resistance constructively, and look after morale and wellbeing.
- Technical guidance. Provide timely guidance on complex client matters, such as share transactions, restructurings, conversions, strike-offs and governance disputes, so the team resolves issues in the most appropriate manner.
Client and Commercial Outcomes
- Service quality. Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of your team’s service delivery, accurate billing, client relationship management, client satisfaction and retention.
- Client insight. Develop a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives, and translate statutory requirements into clear, practical advice.
- Margin and efficiency. Improve profit margins through productivity gains, scope discipline and billing accuracy, and contribute to Singapore management decisions on budgets, service design and pricing.
- Cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Compliance, Sales, Product and Technology to achieve strategic outcomes, including a highly knowledgeable team, robust automated workflows, customer excellence, filing accuracy and timely statutory compliance.
Professional Standards
- Integrity and confidentiality. Adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards, strict client confidentiality and data protection, including the responsible use of AI tools in line with Sleek’s policies (for example, no client data in unapproved tools).

Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates that have a proven track record of embodying the below attributes in their recent roles:
-
Ownership: This shows reliability and helps build trust within the team. We move fast and need to know that everyone will see things through to completion and proactively help to get things back on track when challenges arise. Accountability is really important to us.
-
Humility: There is so much we don’t know. Humility allows for open-mindedness to feedback and a willingness to learn from others. It paves the way for collaboration and creates a positive work environment. It is a key ingredient of self awareness and emotional intelligence.
-
Structured Thinking: Our business is complex with many layers (many services, many countries, many cultures). Regardless of whether you’re more analytical or creative in nature, being able to show sound judgement is important to us. It ensures solutions are pragmatic and balance the needs of the organisation, team and customers.
-
Data driven: We are a data rich business with ~15,000 small customers. Each decision we make can impact many more people than we realise - so it’s critical that we use sound data to support our strategies and review the success of our initiatives.
-
Can have tough conversations in a positive way: It’s not a matter of if, but when difficult interpersonal situations arise. Disagreement, conflict and disappointment are a given in a fast moving business where people care about their work. People that proactively have tough conversations with kindness build empathy, trust and great working relationships.
