Volt is hiring for a CNC Operator I – 2nd Shift position with a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Long Beach, CA.
As a CNC Operator I, you will:
Job Description
- Day to Day Responsibilities
- Support the operation of multiple 3 axis and 5 axis CNC machining centers
- Monitor machining cycles to maintain continuous production
- Assist with machine setups, raw material loading and removal of completed parts
- Machine aerospace components made from aluminum, titanium, Inconel and steel
- Follow manufacturing documentation and verify setups for accuracy
- Inspect tooling using micrometers, calipers and other measurement equipment
- Perform basic dimensional inspections on machined components
- Change cutters and tooling as needed
- Perform basic edge break and deburring operations
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required
