Job title: CNC Milling Technician
About the Role Join Yazaki. Connect to the future. We are seeking a CNC Milling Technician for our Ovar Plant in Portugal to drive efficiency and precision in milling operations and contribute to vehicle electrification initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Continuous improvement: responsible to improve the CNC process; CAD/CAM - define the best machining strategies to carry out the work in the most appropriate way and in the shortest possible time
- CAD/CAM: analyze and prepare the machining files provided by CAD; develop the milling programs; monitor tool preparation and calibration
- Steel/Copper preparation: prepare steel and copper for the machining process
- Machining: compare and calibrate machining tools; monitor the development and execution of all electrodes and steel parts
- Planning: follow the priorities set by the planning team
- First level maintenance: perform all tasks described in first level maintenance procedure
What We're Looking For
- Academic background: Secondary in Tool Design and Manufacturing; Injection Tooling technology
- Minimum professional experience: 8-10 years in related area
- Professional experiences: PowerMill; Fagor CNC programming language
- Knowledge: CAM programming (PowerMill); Machine operation (Fagor CNC); CNC machine operation (general); Part interpretation & machining strategy; Dimensional accuracy & tolerances
- Skills: Tolerances analysis; Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals; Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match shifting demands
