Volt is immediately hiring for a 1st Shift CNC Machinist in Pleasanton, CA.

Put your CNC machining skills to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment where precision, quality, and craftsmanship matter. We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who is comfortable working from blueprints, making machine adjustments, and producing high-quality precision parts.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

As a CNC Machinist you will:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and other machining equipment, including lathes and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, work instructions, and technical specifications.
• Adjust tooling, machine controls, and offsets to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and gauges to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot machining issues, and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform deburring, cleaning, and preparation of finished parts.
• Complete routine equipment maintenance and required production documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following 5S and safety standards.

This is a full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection gauges.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Basic shop math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
• A strong commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with GibbsCAM software.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay Rate:

$25.00-$30.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Note: Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
