About the Role The CNC Machinist will efficiently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers to meet quality and productivity targets, applying precise techniques on a variety of parts. This role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and ongoing process improvement to ensure conformance to specifications and overall equipment effectiveness. What You'll Do
- Start up and shut down a variety of machines following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Set up and operate NC, CNC, PLC and other manual machines (lathes, horizontal & vertical) performing turning, boring and facing of castings and forgings.
- Select and install tooling into tool posts, turrets or indexing heads.
- Mount work pieces in chucks or faceplates manually or with hoists/cranes.
