Salary: $62,400 – $87,360 / year ($30.00 – $42.00/hr + shift differentials)

Key Responsibilities
- Precision Setups: Set up CNC mills, lathes, manual machines, and inspection gear for fast-paced production.
- Tooling & Offsets: Calibrate zero points, adjust tool heights, and set compensations to hold tight tolerances.
- Blueprint Execution: Read complex technical drawings, routings, and instructions to craft precise parts.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough dimensional and visual inspections using micrometers and calipers.
- Program Transfer: Electronically load CNC programs into controllers and assist in optimizing routines.
- Mentorship & Tracking: Maintain setup procedures for critical runs and train junior machinists.
Qualifications

Proven experience in CNC mill and lathe setup (High School Diploma/GED required).

strong knowledge of machine shop practices, metal properties, and blueprint interpretation.

Solid shop math and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work 3rd Shift, including scheduled weekend and holiday hours.

Preferred: Experience with Haas, Mazak, or Brother controls, plus G-code editing skills.

Responsibilities
- CNC & Manual Machine Setup: Responsively set up CNC mills, lathes, manual machinery, and inspection tools to support a production-paced schedule.
- Tooling & Adjustments: Change tools, calibrate zero positions, and adjust heights/tool compensations to maintain close tolerances.
- Technical Execution: Work directly from blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions; use computers to transfer programs to various CNC machines.
- Quality Control & Part Inspection: Inspect finished parts to print for both dimensional accuracy and visual standards using precision hand measuring tools.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain and update setup procedures for critical processes; log measurements and complete required shop floor paperwork.
- Machine Efficiency: Operate multiple machines simultaneously when cycle times permit to maximize productivity.
- Mentorship & Safety: Train and mentor junior machinists on setup operations; adhere to safety standards and wear required PPE on the plant floor.
