Job title: CNC Machinist
About the Role The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and inspect CNC machining centers to produce high quality production components in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining print specifications through proper tool setup, offsets, and rigorous inspection to support efficient production.
What You'll Do
- Set up 6-axis turning centers and 6-axis mill-turn centers per tool routings and blueprints
- Load/unload, deburr, and clean parts; add or remove tooling as needed
- Set tool offsets, set part offsets, and adjust as required to maintain print specifications
- Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug and snap gauges, and in-process gauges
- Rotate across classifications regularly and assist or train others as directed by supervisor
- Support productivity and plant safety; perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; 1+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent
- Detailed CNC operation training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints and work orders
- Proficient with measurement tools and inspection processes
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; able to stand, walk, and use hands
- Team player capable of training others as needed
Nice to Have
- Detailed training in CNC machine operation (preferred)
- Experience with 6-axis CNC milling and turning systems
