About the Role This CNC Machinist position focuses on complex setup and operation of multi axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes in Pall Aerospace Machine Shop, located in New Port Richey, FL. The role supports manufacturing precision parts used in filtration, separation and purification applications within the life sciences and aerospace sectors. What You'll Do
- Perform complex set-up and operation of multi axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
- Assist in selection of tools, holding fixtures, and methods for producing machined parts.
- Read and understand all types of drawings required to machine parts such as castings, forgings, and detailed engineering sketches.
- Perform first piece and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools i.e. gauges and automated CMMs and blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
- Effectively perform secondary operations i.e. operation and setup on simple machines or processes including drill press, stamping press, deburring, etc. What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or local equivalent (GED) or completed Trade School Apprenticeship program or ten years of CNC set-up experience.
- Solid understanding of shop math including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T.
- Experience running up to 9 axis machining is a plus.
- Experience interpreting tool and part drawings including GD&T.
- Ability reading and interpreting CNC programs to recognize and rectify tool wear and minor program oversights. Nice to Have
