Job title: CNC Machinist
About the Role Under the direction of the Manager or Team Leader, you will machine components produced in our manufacturing facility with safety and quality as top priorities. You will work with multiple alloys and materials to produce parts per engineering prints.
What You'll Do
- Plan, set up, and operate CNC machines; including manual grinding and lathe operations.
- Fit and/or assemble parts per engineering drawings.
- Report any errors, defective material, or faulty equipment.
- Operate machines, select speeds and setups, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Inspect work and complete inspection forms.
- Load/unload materials and maintain an organized, clean work area.
- Provide in-house shop support as directed by supervisor; collaborate with programmers to minimize machine idle time.

- Ability to maintain 5S standards and keep the work area organized.
- Read and comprehend written and verbal instructions; basic math; read and interpret drawings.
- Use measuring devices and read engineering drawings.
- Operate material handling equipment (fork trucks, floor cranes, high lifts, etc.).
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities; communicate effectively; work independently or as part of a team.
- High attention to detail; trade school or Associate degree (or equivalent via work experience).
- Physical and mental qualifications: ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations; capable of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs; visual acuity, dexterity, hearing, balance; and wearing PPE.
