Job title: Cluster Head
The job role is responsible for strategic business development; unit mentoring/monitoring; grass-root decision making towards ensuring prompt service delivery; and overall growth and development of the Company without sacrificing quality and corporate integrity.
The role ensures that South South/Southeast branches adhere to the Company’s rules and regulations and are equally encouraged to be the CEOs of their respective units; particularly where immediate decision has to be made without jeopardizing the company’s interest and reputation.
Dimensions of the job include:
- Overall productivity in all South South/Southeast Branches.
- Drive excellence in units/branches with respect to business development strategies and goal attainment.
- Follow up on sales drive to ensure branches budgets are vigorously pursued and achieved.
- Constantly interact with units through meetings and phone calls towards ensuring their well-being and corporate growth whilst businesses are done with minimum cost.
- Ensure prompt service delivery to all stakeholders, that encourages great customer experiences and operational efficiencies.
- Drive retail sales via broker channels.
- Drive Digital adoption of our Processes with our intermediaries.

Financial 50%
- Monitor the various branches monthly performance and encourage them to strive for improved performance through constant mentoring and meetings.
- Set out achievable and measurable targets.
- Monitor quotes, proposals, and renewals to ensure that new accounts are secured, and existing ones not lost.
- Monitor branches’ profitability ratio by watching their capital and underwriting expenses and convey same to respective branches.
Internal business processes 20%
- Ensure that RMs are well equipped to ensure service delivery through provision of adequate tools and manpower.
- Encourage full automation of all business processes in the company, and less manual processing.
- Achieve insurance market penetration due to new initiatives.
- Ensure prompt feedback/reporting of various returns (monthly reports) to the Head of Commercial within the stipulated time.
Customer 20%
- Organize regular meetings with top 5 brokers to identify challenges.
- Drive achievement of at least 80% engaged and high performing team members.
- Drive digital adoption of our online channels by our intermediaries.
- Drive retail sales via broker channels.
Learning and growth 10%
- Drive team participation in a company/team-wide voluntary service scheme towards community development.
- Drive professional certification in relevant field and Knowledge Sharing Sessions (KSS) within the team.
- Drive the implementation of diversity and inclusion in line with set ratio by Leadway.

- The role holder has significant influence over the development of Sales strategy.
- The role holder is the accountable executive responsible for managing the Brokers and business alignment relationship and the role holder is empowered for execution of the business sales management strategy for bottom-line profitability.
Ideal Qualifications for the role:
Academic:
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline with knack for relationship management.
- Master’s Degree, an added advantage.
- A professional qualification of ACIIN or any other recognized related qualifications.
