Cloud Services Escalation Lead

About the Role Centric Software is seeking a Cloud Services Escalation Lead (Database Specialist) to manage and optimize databases across customer environments, including relational and NoSQL systems on on-premises and cloud-managed platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will be the subject-matter expert supporting the global operations team to proactively address database issues, performance and security, underpinning our cloud services. What You'll Do

• Monitor various databases across multiple environments using established tools such as DataDog.
• Support the Cloud Operations team as escalation point for database issues.
• Investigate issues related to various databases and liaise with internal teams to resolve.
• Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies for multiple database platforms for customer accounts and internal applications.
• Support DR operations for databases for customers.
• Ensure database security for Centric's customer databases.
• Contribute to Cloud Services projects to ensure performant and secure database implementations. What We're Looking For
• Microsoft Certified: Database Administrator Associate.
• Certification in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP related to Cloud Managed Database platforms.
• Degree in a database-related subject.
• 10+ years as a Database Administrator/Specialist with experience on cloud-managed instances.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring (e.g., DataDog).
• Troubleshooting performance issues on relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding how databases and objects interact with applications; documentation optional.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup management, and data retention policies.
• Strong skills with Terraform and deploying database-related scripts.
• Knowledge of data security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001) and privacy standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
• Interest in keeping up-to-date with database technologies. Nice to Have
• Certifications in PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB Administration.
• Exposure to AI data engineering. Compensation & Benefits
• USD 130,000 - 160,000 yearly base salary (varies by location, role level and qualifications).
