Job title: Cloud Security Engineer - PlayStation Network
About the Role The Security Engineer will help make PlayStation Network the safest and most secure gaming platform, while meeting security needs with minimal platform impact. You will plan, design, develop, test, and operate security tools and processes to provide protection and visibility across cloud environments, collaborating with multiple teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and implement security controls and frameworks for PlayStation Network's cloud infrastructure.
- Take ownership of security gaps, lead efforts to mature security tooling and operational processes.
- Work closely with product and platform teams to define system requirements, engineering and implement cloud-based security applications and controls.
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions for auditing, securing, and enforcing changes across multi-cloud environments.
- Drive tools to enhance platform availability using automated protection mechanisms.
- Research and introduce new technologies; collaborate to implement solutions.
- Mentor nearby engineers to help them make better design choices to protect the platform.
- Become security and privacy experts.
- Apply DevSecOps processes and tools to automate security into the build and deployment pipeline.
What We're Looking For
- Business-level Japanese and English ability.
- Experience as a security engineer on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) implementing authentication/authorization workflows and security operations.
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities to clearly convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience implementing workflows using Python or Go.
Nice to Have
- CISSP, CCSP or other security/tech qualifications.
- Extensive multi-cloud experience (AWS, GCP) and a track record as security engineer or architect.
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience designing and implementing IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Comprehensive experience with CI/CD, DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes).
- End-to-end enterprise-scale system building experience.
- Coaching and talent development experience.
